Register for Chessroad Tournament 2026 and compete for the monthly Chessroad Champion Trophy.
Chessroad Tournament is organised for Juniors & Adults of all levels who are beginners, Intermediate or advanced players. We have introduced limited seats for Adults. Competitors aged over 20 years qualify for prizes in the Adults category.
The organisers will provide an initial provisional internal rating to all new players based on the NZCF rating.
This tournament is organised to improve Juniors chess knowledge and to unleash the chess skills for over the board tournaments, giving the opportunity to play with internal and external players including adults.

- Multiple Prizes and Tiebreaks: Players may not win more than one prize except the Champion Trophy in a tournament – the highest cash prize will be paid and other prizes will be passed down to the next highest-placed player. Cash prizes will be shared by eligible players on the same score and ties will not be broken.
- TieBreak: will apply for Medal & Trophy winners in the Under 8 age category, Best Girl and Chessroad Champion
- Lucky Dip Prizes: This will based on the entries

Prize money will be paid to the players bank account after the event and on receipt of bank account details.
- Adult category - Individuals aged over 20 years qualify for prizes in the Adult category. Additional prizes will be based on the entries. Please note we have limited seats for participants in this category.
- Under 8 age category players qualify for prize money if they are tournament winners
- EOYP 2026 All Players qualify for end of year performance 2026 medals - Ist, 2nd and 3rd place.
