Norweigian & Ukrainian claim the 2025 Norway Chess Champions Titles!

The Norweigian chess prodigy GM Magnus Carlsen claimed Norway Chess Champion 2025 title for the seventh time. 

In the Women category GM Anna Muzychuck, Ukrainian secured the Norway Women Chess Champion title. 

It was fascinating to observe top chess players in classical and armageddon format showcasing their skills in both the categories.

In the Open category after intense matches and fierce competition, GM Magnus Carlsen outmaneuvered his opponents and demonstrated why he is considered one of the greatest chess players of all time. His ability to anticipate his opponents' moves and adapt his strategy on the fly set him apart from the competition.

A highlight of the tournament was the intense match between GM Magnus Carlsen and GM Gukesh Dommaraju, the current World Champion, where Magnus made a crucial mistake, resulting in a loss of his advantage midway through. With additional rounds, he earned sufficient points to claim the title on the final day, securing a draw in the last round and ending with 16 points.

Within the Women's division, GM Anna Muzychuk achieved 16.5 points to clinch the top spot.
