Jerry Yuan, Chessroad Champion for July 2026 and Ist equal with Charles Cate

Jerry Yuan emerged as the overall winner of the Chessroad Championship Trophy for July 2026. Charles Cate matched Jerry's score to finish in equal first place, with both players producing impressive displays of skill, consistency, and fighting spirit.

The battle for the remaining podium positions was just as exciting, with Aarav and Max finishing in equal third place and sharing the cash prizes after a series of strong performances. In the Adult category, Vignesh produced a spirited performance, battling strongly against a talented field of junior players and demonstrating great determination throughout the tournament.

Each Chessroad tournament continues to showcase the remarkable improvement of its players. It is inspiring to see competitors investing time and effort into studying, training, and gaining valuable over-the-board experience. Every game—whether a victory or a defeat—provides an opportunity to learn, develop, and return as a stronger player. That commitment to continuous improvement is becoming increasingly evident across the Chessroad community.

A special mention goes to players, Eva and Abhirami, who competed with confidence and determination over the board.  Eva receiving the Best Girl award and Abhirami earning the Under-8 Gold Medal. 

 It is always encouraging to see more girls taking up the game at an early age. Chess offers opportunities for growth, and every lesson learned through tournament play, coaching, or self-study helps build stronger players both on and off the board. With dedication, perseverance, and a passion for learning, the future looks very promising for the next generation of Chessroad champions.
