FIFA World Cup 2026: Erling Haaland Shines as Norway Cruises to Victory

Our thoughts....

World Cup games are always exciting, especially when you have a favourite team to support. In the match between Norway and Iraq, it was great to see Erling Haaland score two goals for Norway in the first half, followed by a third goal by Leo Ostigård that gave his team a strong advantage besides a self goal from Iraq.  Iraq fought back admirably and managed to equalise, although they were unable to balance the results before the final whistle finishing at 4 - 1 in FIFA opening match.

As usual, World Cup matches are entertaining whether you watch the games live or highlights of the day. They are particularly enjoyable when one of your favourite players or teams are involved.

Norway has produced remarkable sporting talents across different fields. Five-time World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen remains a national favourite, while Erling Haaland shone on the football pitch today, delivering an outstanding performance and bringing his A-game to the field.   We wish the team success in the upcoming games.
