Chesssroad Training Squad Team Event winners for 2026

The first-ever Chessroad Training Squad Team Event was held on Friday, bringing together players of different chess strengths to compete, learn and experience the excitement of playing as a team.

Each team was made up of two players with different levels of chess strength, creating an opportunity for players to support one another, learn from each other and work together towards a common goal.

The players also got creative with their team names, coming up with some fun and memorable choices: The LA (Zaydan & Charlie), The Blunders (Matt & Ian), The Loosers (Dev & Henry), The Mix (Samuel & Abhirami), Michik Michik (Adley & Kobe) and Rule the Earth (Ram & Agastya)! 

With six teams competing, the tournament went down to a close finish. The Loosers emerged as the Chessroad Squad Team Champions, taking home the championship medals.

The special Board Prize Medal goes to Samuel of The Mix, who achieved 5/5 score across all five games.
