Chess techniques are increasingly influencing modern soccer!

Chess benefits all sports including studies. An excellent article in BBC this week providing deep insights how football players benefit from chess to the goalpost. 

As a coach, We completely agree that chess can enhance other sports as well as academic performance. Students lean chess specifically to strengthen their focus, problem-solving skills, critical thinking and overall success in school besides playing professionally; and older adults often use it to keep their minds active and engaged. 

Also the opposite situation is equally valid, where Chess players apply principles from sports techniques to deepen their understanding and improve their game.

Concepts like discipline, consistency in training, strategic planning, and performing under pressure translate directly from sports into chess. By thinking of preparation like practice sessions, or viewing a game as a match that requires both endurance and adaptability, players develop stronger habits, better decision-making, and greater resilience at the board.
